Blackbird Designers was originally known as “By Blackbird Designs” and was started by our daughter Angela to overcome boredom during a lengthy illness. Angela started to make jewelry of all different styles but she fell in love with “Steampunk”.

As her health improved she branched out into hats, goggles, belt buckles and other accessories. Having graduated a sales and marketing course she worked hard to advance her business. With her great smile, outgoing personality and cute costumes she became a much sought after artist at vendor markets, festivals and Comicons in Winnipeg and across Canada. Angela’s health took a turn for the worse and sadly she passed away in early 2020. We decided to carry on her business as a way to heal and keep her memory alive.

Angela continues to live in her designs and our hearts.
